Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac: if it says «Chip», it is Apple Silicon; if it says «Processor», it is Intel.
Installation
The first time you open it
Your system may ask you to confirm the first time you open the app. You only need to do it once.
First launch on macOS
Open the .dmg and drag Acotia to Applications. If macOS warns that it cannot verify the app when you open it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click «Open Anyway».
First launch on Windows
Run the .exe. If SmartScreen appears («Windows protected your PC»), click «More info» and then «Run anyway».
Frequently asked questions
Is Acotia free?
Downloading the app is. To use it you need an invitation from your company. If your company doesn't use Acotia yet, request a pilot at acotia.com.
My company already uses Acotia. How do I get in?
Ask your admin for an invitation. You will receive an email with a code to sign in to the app. The steps, one by one, are in the getting started guide.
How do I update the app?
Download the new version from this page and replace the old one. Automatic updates are coming soon.
